Any falafel fans in the house? Falafel is a Middle Eastern dish, made of smashed chickpeas and other garbanzo beans, rolled up into a ball or patty, and then deep-fried or baked to form an outer crust layer. We’re servin’ up some of this authentic Mediterranean food this week at Green Tidings to cure your post-Halloween "scaries," and we are fala-FALLING in love with it.
Our own house made falafel is made up of soaked chickpeas and is filled with tons of fresh herbs and spices. Crisp and golden on the outside, warm and tender on the inside, we are so excited for you to sink your teeth into this filling and healthy treat. These little balls of goodness come with an accompaniment of tahini yogurt sauce, which adds irresistible creaminess and tang to anything it touches, whether that be our sides of warm pita bread, cool tomato and cucumber salad, a heaping spoonful of olive tapenade, or a chiffonade of fresh lettuce. Once you’re done with this meal, you’ll be fala-FULL thanks to this hearty protein packed lunch.
Not all falafel is created equal Terps, and this is one for the books. If you haven’t had the chance to stop by the food truck in the last couple weeks, I would encourage you to come find us in front of Regents Drive Garage today and get your fall-FILL while it’s still on our menu! After this week, we will be rolling out an entirely new menu!
