Local Beef Chili

Green Tidings supports local farms whenever possible, and this week is no different. The beef in our chili comes from a farm part of Capital Meat Company’s local farm program. Over 35 Virginia and Maryland family farms make up this program and provide a wide range of high quality, all-natural organic beef, lamb, and pork that go through a 14-point quality assurance policy. This assures top-quality, fresh from the farm taste with no hormones or antibiotics used!

 

We pair our beef chili with delicious cheddar, fresh and crisp tomatoes, crunchy fried okra, and a slice of jalapeño cornbread to spice things up. It’s our first week back on campus, so stop by the truck sometime soon to get your first (and hopefully not last) taste of Green Tidings for the semester!
